Josepia has the same genetic bone disorder as her brother, Alburt, who is also an HTC patient. In fact, they were able to come to St. Louis together to undergo treatment at St. Louis Shriners Hospital. Josepia had a dramatic mass on her clavicle and several in her arms which had stunted growth and caused one of her arms to curve inward. Dr. Charles Goldfarb was very pleased with the outcome of Josepia's surgery and hopes the bones in her arm will begin to grow normally again now that the tumors are gone.
