With a winning smile and strong spirit, five-year-old Natalia won the hearts of many during her stay in St. Louis and treatment at Shriners Hospital. Natalia has a complicated orthopedic deformity of her hip and left leg which caused a significant leg length discrepancy resulting in a severe limp. Natalia amazed her host family with how she managed to scoot and flip around during her six weeks in a spica body cast, her legs separated by a bar between them. After intensive physical therapy, Natalia went home with a leg brace and shoe lift which she handles beautifully. She will return in the future for more treatment.
