Healing the Children
envisions a world where every child
has access to good
medical care.
The challenges have never been greater due to the ever-changing healthcare
system in the United States, the shortage of available funds to nonprofit
organizations, and the increasing medical needs of children here and around
the world.
Until our vision can be realized, our hope is to be a powerful instrument of
healing for children needing life-changing medical care they can find
nowhere else.
Since
1979, the 13 chapters of Healing the Children have:

enabled
6,843 children from 98
countries to come to the U.S. for life-altering free medical/surgical
care
-
provided medical
care to
67,813 children in their home
countries through visiting medical teams
-
secured
medical/dental and other assistance to
25,370
U.S. children.
The Missouri Chapter of Healing the Children,
located in St. Louis,
secures thousands of dollars worth
of gratis care each year in Missouri for children in need while maintaining
a very modest budget.
We collaborate with
hospitals, doctors, airlines, international partners and volunteers to bring
children the life-saving medical care they need … and deserve.
HTC Missouri was incorporated in July, 2004. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization and receives no financial support from Healing the Children
National.
